MPC Corp. (MPZ) said Wednesday that it received antitrust clearance to buy Gateway's (GTW) professional business. According to MPC, a Nampa, Idaho-based provider of servers, storage products, PC products and peripherals, it was granted early termination of the waiting period required under the Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust law, and it expects the deal to close on Oct. 1, (2007). Aside from being in the top 10, the E-295C posted the best performance of all the other laptops on the list.
