Factory Integration & Installation Services

Custom PC Software Image Download
The Custom PC Software Image Download service is the factory installation of a customer-supplied image.
Service Process
- STEP 1Once you've purchased the service, MPC will send you a software agreement to sign acknowledging that your organization has valid licenses for all applications included in the installation, along with a copy of the Factory Integration Services terms-and-conditions agreement. You'll also receive a media box and detailed instructions on how to ship your media to MPC.
- STEP 2Create the desired image on the hard drive or provide a bootable image CD/DVD in the media box. The image can be either an original or a duplicate created using PowerQuest, Ghost or a similar application. It's important that you follow the shipping instructions and use the provided anti-static bag.
- STEP 3You complete and submit the online Technical Specification Sheet to ensure that the image is downloaded according to your organization's exact specifications.
- STEP 4Upon receipt of the media box and the Technical Specification Sheet, a MPC engineer will create a pilot system, as follows:
- Image is validated. (Note: If the image has a password, please be sure to provide it on the Technical Specification Sheet. Otherwise, your order could be delayed.)
- is booted, and an automated test suite is added that validates hardware and confirms that there are no failures.
- Microsoft® Customer Sysprep is applied if needed, custom image is uploaded to manufacturing server and pilot system is sent to manufacturing.
- Once pilot system is approved, the custom image is ready to be downloaded onto each system ordered.
- STEP 5MPC builds the order.
